Somethingness

I was wrong in my previous post titled "Nothingness". What I really meant to say was:

The world is a wonderful, just place where good is rewarded and evil is punished. Horrible things never happen to people who don't deserve it. All those kids slowly dying of starvation in third world countries will be handsomely compensated in the next life because, as we all know, there is this cosmic "plan" that only God knows, and who are we to questions it? Oh, and all your deeds are kept in a mystical "book" that will be opened when you die and you will be judged according to some moral standard. Don't worry that no religious scholars can agree on what that standard is, just cross your fingers and hope for the best. The most important thing is that you go through life wracked with guilt about every little "sin" you commit. This is very healthy! Agonize over every decision because of course, in the big picture, it makes a HUGE difference! So please, by all means, go around thinking that there is a supernatural Big Brother who is watching your every move and has a personal interest in your life. We all know that this is very logical and supported by lots of scientific evidence.

How's that, Lisa?
